Community Outreach

Welcoming Committee - The parish has been divided into twelve districts to facilitate the development of community spirit. The committee welcomes new parishioners once they have been registered.  Upon registering in the parish a welcome packet and a phone call is made to the new members.  Call the rectory to volunteer to serve in this ministry.

Health Care Ministry - As "church" we are more than a place of worship.  As a community, we seek to support and meet the needs of one another.  The Health Care Ministry provides opportunities for education in health concerns, CPR courses, a Health Fair, etcc. and a phone call ministry to our shut-ins.  Call the rectory to volunteer to serve in this ministry.

Friendly Visitor Ministry - Allows parishioners to connect with each other through phone calls and home visits.   Call the rectory to volunteer to serve in this ministry.

Alcoholics Anonymous - A.A. meetings are held every Monday at 8:30 PM in the Club Room.  No preregistration is necessary.

Ladies of Charity are a group of ladies motivated by personal spiritual growth with a desire to reach out to the sick or elderly in our parish community. Activities include:

The Ladies of Charity meet once a month (usually the first Wednesday).
We extend and invitation to any interested lady of the parish to join the organization.

St. Vincent DePaul Society
Activities associated with the Society of St. Therese of Lisieux include:

The Society of St. Vincent DePaul of St. Therese is thankful for its parishioners who contribute to the poor boxes. The donations enable the Society to continue its work of administering to those experiencing physical, spiritual, or economical need.

Food Pantry
Distributes food twice a month on the first and third Saturday.  In order to qualify you must meet the critieria of the Greater Pittsburgh Food Pantry and complete a registration form.  You can register by calling St. Therese Rectory.  All parishioners are invited to bring nonperishable donations and place them in the containers at the doors of the church.  Call the rectory to volunteer to serve in this ministry.
